Into the Shadows

The chimes echo through the dark night
Reflecting the sadness of cold land
Forest dying slowly succumbing at the pale moonlight
In the murmur of wind a crow looks at me
Tears streaming down my face at the sound of my shame
Trapped by my own mind, voices whisper in my ears
Plucking out my senses this will be my end?

One for anger
One for fear
One thousand one nights of anguish
One for pain
One for despair
Where dreams begin and reality ends?

The belfry abandoned old friend of stone
The night will tell a terrifying story
Dense fog hiding the loneliness
