Reign Of Pills

I wake up in the morning
It’s hard to get out of bed
I need something
To take me out of this dread

Beside my bed a false relief
On my night table
A glass of water
And my reign of pills

I swallow my pills and they take control
Inside my fortress millions of locked doors
Restrained emotions, so nothing may go wrong
And in the eyes of others I look ready to go on

Here comes another day
An endless day to face
Exchanging jails
That have only different names

Deal with people, face my job
So many expectations
Getting lost in this void
That I just can’t fill

Every dayi count the minutes
To go back home and
Let the pills reign over me
