"reza, dime ¿qué te pasa? ¿por qué me estás mirando así?""pray, tell me what is it with you? why are you looking there at me?"

Le hablé sin pensar, dije "¡te quiero, lo creo!"I spoke to her without thinking, i said, "i love you, i do believe!"
Ella me abofeteó con ambas manos y me preguntó si me iríaShe slapped my face with both her hands and asked me if i would leave
Grité, "oh no, no quise decir eso, pero entonces de nuevo, sí, creo que sí!"I screamed, "oh no, i didn't mean that, but then again, yes, i think i did!"
Ella dijo, "ok, Tom, acércate aquí", y abrió la tapaShe said, "ok, tom, come over here," and she opened up the lid

Me hizo beber el líquido y mi cabeza comenzó a dar vueltasShe made me drink the liquid and my head began to reel
Pronto me encontré en el suelo, no podía ver ni sentirI soon found myself upon the floor, i could not see or could not feel

Cuando desperté, el tren en el que estaba había llegado a su parada finalWhen i came to, the train i was in, it had made its final stop
Y al abrir los ojos, allí frente a mí estaba un policíaAnd as i opened up my eyes, there before me was a cop
Dijo que estaba ebrio y sin dinero, orgullo y boleto tambiénHe said that i was drunk and without money, pride and ticket too
Entonces me llevaron a la cárcel del condado, ¿qué más podían hacer?Then they ran me down the county jail, oh, what else could they do?

Intenté explicar sobre la dama que estaba conmigo en el trenI tried to explain about the lady who was with me on the train
Pero todos me rodearon y me miraron como si estuviera locoBut they all stood round and looked at me like i was insane
Rogué por misericordia y perdón, y también por un cigarrilloI begged for mercy and forgiveness and for a cigarette too
Pero me dieron seis meses de trabajos forzados, ¿qué más podían hacer?But they gave me six months hard labour, oh, what else could they do?

Mientras estaba en la cárcel, conocí a un viejo vaquero, que dijo que le caía bienWhile in jail, i met an old cowboy, who said he liked me fine
Me hizo robar un caballo para él y obtuve tiempo extraHe made me steal a horse for him and i got extra time
