Just like fireworks in the night, you left your beauty and ashes behind
You lived so fast you lived so free, even the day that they buried you deep
How can your heart fit in a box, a heart that I knew to be larger than gods
This is the hardest goodbye I will say, it's so unfair that they take you away

The laughter, the tears, and all those beautiful years
I'll always remember, our every little adventure
My friend, how I love you, I'm sorry that I never told you
It hurts me, it breaks me, you have to go on this journey alone

Life was so hard but we broke all the rules, so many tales we could write lots of books
Always there always in my life, you were my shoulder when I needed to cry
We were supposed to grow old side by side, now you moved on and I got left behind
