Lis ô Muhammad, lis au nom d'AllahRead o Muhammad, read in Allah's name
Que les bénédictions d'Allah soient sur al-mustafaa (le choisi)May the blessings of Allah be on al-mustafaa (the selected one)
Personne d'autre que lui n'aurait pu être al-mujtabaa (le sélectionné)None besides him could have been al-mujtabaa (the chosen one)

Menant vers la lumière, as-seeraj-al-muneer (lampe de radiance)Leading into light, as-seeraj-al-muneer (lamp of Radiance)

En s'occupant des méchants, il avait le meilleur des talentsIn handling the wicked, he had the best of skill
Il apaisait avec tolérance et bonne volontéHe pacified with tolerance and goodwill
Le meilleur des morales, il visait à atteindreThe best of morals he aimed to attain
Tout ce qu'il a accompli à travers la souffrance et la douleurAll he accomplished through suffering and pain
Ravivant l'imaan comme almuthakkir (le rappel)Reviving imaan as almuthakkir (the reminder)
Il est connu dans le Qur'an comme al-mud-dath-thir (caché)He is known in the qur'aan as al-mud-dath-thir (covered up)
Seul lui a reçu l'honneur du miraajOnly he was given the honour of miraaj
Cette gloire était unique à Muhammad asseeraj (la lampe)Unique was this glory to Muhammad asseeraj (the lamp)

Il était ad daee ill Allah hil azheemHe was ad daee ill Allah hil azheem
Tout hadi elaa seerauteem mustakeemAll hadi elaa seerauteem mustakeem
Sa mission accomplie, il était tenu en haute estimeHis mission complete, his held in great esteem
Allah l'a loué pour bil-khuluqil azeemAllah praised him as bil-khuluqil azeem
Que les bénédictions d'Allah soient sur mustafaaMay the blessings of Allah be on mustafaa
Personne d'autre que lui n'aurait pu être al-mujtabaaNone besides him could have been al-mujtabaa
Si parfaits étaient ses morales, si juste était son règneSo perfect were his morals, so justly did he rule
L'obscurité avait disparu et le monde était plein de noorDarkness had vanished and the word was full of noor
