Where Shadows Dissolve

But the messenger, a truth disguised
A fleeting thought - unrealized
My subconscious strength keeps me blind
Illusions of a tortured mind
As green leaves fade and break away
I'll take what i need from this day
And leave behind what makes me bleed
On emptiness my sorrow feeds
End of days and the dawn of time
An empty search for truth divine
Through half closed eyes the shapes evolve
And as light fades, shadows dissolve
Cast aside what you've been told
Lies are bought and lies are sold
See the darkness for what it brings
Frozen hearts and ravaged wings
The kiss of death, it seals our fate
Some deplore it, others wait
Many fear it's crushing grip
Yet others are in search of it.
