Tried to make away, tried to rise above
Tried to face the day, tried to scale the walls
West a bleeding dusk, east a rising Sun
Freed of all restraint, fight the need to run

Chase the altar true, crystalline and pure
Lift the altar razed, risen to endure
Risk the trodden day, risk is underfoot
So lay me down

If I am the wrath, my vengeance pure
If I am the wrath, forged to endure
If I am the wrath they must run toward the sea
I lay the ash of those who fail to flee
