No temas, yo estoy contigo, oh no te consternesFear not, I am with thee, O be not dismayed,
Porque yo soy tu Dios, y aun te ayudaréFor I am thy God and will still give thee aid;
Te fortaleceré, te ayudaré y te haré reposarI'll strengthen thee, help thee, and cause thee to stand
Respaldada por Mi amable y omnipotente manoUpheld by My gracious, omnipotent hand.
Cuando a través de las aguas profundas te haga irWhen through the deep waters I cause thee to go,
Los ríos de dolor no se desbordaránThe rivers of sorrow shall not overflow;
Porque yo estaré contigo, tus aflicciones para bendecirFor I will be with thee, thy troubles to bless,

Cuando por medio de pruebas ardientes mieranWhen through fiery trials thy pathways shall lie,
Mi gracia, todo suficiente, será tu provisiónMy grace, all sufficient, shall be thy supply;
La llama no te hará daño; Yo sólo diseñoThe flame shall not hurt thee; I only design
Tu escoria para consumir, Y tu oro para refinarThy dross to consume, and thy gold to refine.
El alma que en Jesús se ha apoyado para reponerThe soul that on Jesus has leaned for repose,
No lo haré, no abandonaré a sus enemigosI will not, I will not desert to its foes;
