Can you feel the earth spin?
Or the gravity keeping us pinned?
The butterflies in my chest
How you stand out from the rest

Trying to draw a line
Between material and divine
The sciences of today
Philosophies to obey

But I don't really care
'Cause that's not why I'm here
When all I can do
Is think about you

I try to be sincere
But overcome with fear
I'm not good enough
If you call my bluff

I guess that I'm delusional
Irrational
Of what I dream of

I guess that I'm delusional
Illogical
When I think of love

And it's clear to see
In this reality
That I need you
More than you need me

That we could never be
Outside of this
Fantasy of bliss

And yet I still plead
This heart full of greed
