Praying Mantis

Yesterday
There was a praying mantis on my window pane
With its cold eyes it stared and waited
Waited and stared again

Today I catched some spiders
To feed my little friend
Today I catched some flies
For the mantis to pray a lullaby

I woke up sitting on his window pane
