Rot

Red

Der Himmel war rot, er starrte geradeausThe sky was red, he stared ahead
Ich sah ihn gehen, einen Schritt mehrI saw him tread, one step more
Steigt aus dem Bett, er spürt mein GrauenGets out of bed, he feels me dread
Seine Träume sind tot, Geld macht ihn armHis dreams are dead, money makes him poor

Und sein Geist ist längst entflohen und jetzt ist er hart wie ein SteinAnd his spirit has long fled and now he is hard to the core
Sie hätte ihn zum reichen Himmel führen könnenShe could have lead him to the rich sky

I can lead you to the red sky
Wenn du einfach aufhörst zu fragen, warumIf you just stop asking why
Wenn du einfach aufhörst zu fragen, warumIf you just stop asking why
Wenn du einfach aufhörst zu fragen, warum, warumIf you just stop asking why, why

I said I will reach deep down inside
Und mit dir nach vorne schauen und dir all mein Rot gebenAnd stare with you ahead and give you all my red
Und es in deinen Kopf und in dein Herz legenAnd put it in your head and in your heart
I will part and you will stay
I will still dream of one day
Der vielleicht nicht so weit weg istMight not be so far away
Der vielleicht nicht so weit weg istMight not be so far away
