the bus pulls away leaving
if the walls could bear witness

now my heart has catatonic
to everything you feel
my hear has no weight on it
because I can't afford to feel

lonely as the milk run
on the autumn country side
waiting for someone to arrive
severing the limbs
that have grown into yours
untangled from you long ago
