It’s exhausting sometimes
To live and fight
Against my own thoughts
Against my own mind

To listen to
The avalanche
Come crashing down

Faded away?
Just for a few minutes

And I get exhausted
Just listening to faint noises
Like the humming of a fridge
The ticking of a clock

When the world goes dark
