its been almost five days i'm starting this off on the parkway. its been almost five days i'm starting it off on my own. how many times must i start this off on my own. hey, wait for me. i still need you. and i can't remember if i can remember to fly. these wings are a bit out of practice, they've painted them gray. and these seat belts are holding me down. these cars are flying fast and the snow is falling in my way. how many times must i say this. how many times must i say this distance is killing me. its beating me down. and i can't remember if i can remember the part of your sweater that smells of your perfume. but i can still hear the sound of your messages calling me. calling my name. you're calling again.
but i can't pretend this distance is over.
