At breakneck speeds, I try and cut clean
Through the layers of ice, somebody is, trapped inside
I stare at their face, but I can't quite recognize
Is it someone I know, that's trapped and froze?

Racing rash behavior, haphazard accident
But I'm still planning my vacation
Running from the crash, running from the axe
Hanging over my head

Why is this happening to me?

The faster I try, to free the person inside
The more I can't place, their frozen face

So I continue cutting ice
