Hope Lies Below

Hope lies below, but what I ask for,
You already know, and could it be that,
You're the only one, who can give me what I need.
But I don't think you believe.

Silence surrounds me, as my tears fall down,

So I cry, so I want, so I scream in silence,
And I break, and I fall and I bleed alone.
There you are, calling my name, yet all the while.
It is you, in my mind, holding me down.

Fear rises up, and in my heart I know,
I must release you, before life takes its toll.
You may be the only one, who can give me what I need.
But in you, I can't believe.

My sanity returns, when I start to breathe,
I'm forgiven all my sins, now I've learn to believe,
You're the one, who held me prisoner to myself,
But now in me, I can believe.
