Pintado rojo, con cruz dorada
Painted red, with golden cross

El cuchillo pulido, también me corta
The polished knife, it cuts me too

Y estoy clavado en tu sombra

Y te doy las gracias por mi nacimiento
And I thank you for my birth
Oigo tu voz, como cristales de plata
I hear your voice, like silver crystals
Llueven lágrimas sobre estas palabras
Raining tears upon these words

Cut from white stone and yellow earth

Of attrition, self-hate and inner rage

Running down my face and through my veins
