The law is holy and good, it offers protectionA Lei é santa e boa, oferece proteção

It works like a mirror, showing our transgressionsFunciona como espelho, mostra nossa transgressão
The righteous take delight in obeying this lawO justo se deleita em essa lei obedecer
The end of God's law and His just commandmentsO fim da lei de Deus e de Seus justos mandamentos
Is to preserve the love of a pure heartÉ preservar o amor de um puro coração
To have a clear conscience and faith without pretenseTer boa consciência e ter fé sem fingimento
It's not, therefore, a means to give us salvationNão é, portanto, um meio para dar-nos salvação

Though it doesn't play the role of saving usEmbora ela não tenha o papel de nos salvar
The law is the great code of relational loveA lei é o grande código de amor relacional
Those who are saved by grace will naturally alignAquele que através da graça venha se salvar
They'll adjust to it in a way that's just rightVai ajustar-se a ela de uma forma natural
Without the law, there can be no transgressionNão existindo a lei, também não há a transgressão
There can't be sin without a moral standardNão pode haver pecado sem parâmetro moral
And if there's no sin, then what's the grace and forgiveness for?E se não há pecado, pra que a graça e o perdão?
The law points out the errors in our fight against evilA lei aponta o erro em nossa luta contra o mal

The law of our God requires a level of obedienceA lei do nosso Deus requer um grau de obediência
That the natural man is unable to presentQue o homem natural é incapaz de apresentar
It's just and eternal, it remains in effectÉ justa e é eterna, permanece em vigência
So there's only one way to keep the lawPortando há uma só maneira para a lei guardar
It's to go indirectly to Christ in our imperfectionÉ ir indiretamente a Cristo em nossa imperfeição
And receive in life His merits of loveE receber na vida os Seus méritos de amor
It's to have our being changed through justificationÉ ter o ser mudado pela justificação
That faith enables those who believe in the SaviorQue a fé possibilita a quem crê no Salvador
