Annie ran away from her little town of gray
To see what she could see in a world too many plague
She traveled west where she planned to find a place
But on her journey's second leg Annie got picked up by a hick

Named Hank, Jimmy, George, Billy, Tony, Kyle, Rick
He said to her
Hey honey, what's your name?
But before she could reply
He said You're a fancy dame

Annie was scared by a twinkle in his eye
The speed of Billy's truck was preventing her escape
So then Hank took her home and he cut off both her legs

All you wanted in the world
Was to get a better life
