Me despierto con un dolor de cabeza punzante y el frío helado,I awake to a splitting headache and the freezing cold,
y me doy cuenta de que estoy rodeado de nieve salpicada de sangre.and realise I'm surrounded by blood splattered snow.
Este páramo congelado está despertando mi miedo.This frozen wasteland is awaking my fear.
'¿Por qué me duele la cabeza?"Why does my head hurt?
¿Cómo llegó esta sangre aquí?'How did this blood get here?"

Pongo mi mano en la parte trasera de mi cráneo palpitante.I put my hand to the back of my pounding skull.
Al apartarla, veo lo que temía.As I pull it away I see what I'd feared.
Me arrastro hasta ponerme de pie y comienzo a correr.I drag myself to my feet and start running.
Sin saber por qué, o hacia dónde.Unbeknownst to me is why, or where.
La confusión abruma mi temor desconcertante.Confusion overwhelms my jarring fear.
'¡¿Por qué no estoy muerto?! ¡No debería estar aquí!'"Why am I not dead? I shouldn't be here!"

Mi mano está cubierta de mi propia sangre y cerebro,My hand is covered with my own blood and brains,
ya que corro como si nunca hubiera sido asesinado.yet I am sprinting like I was never slain.
Luego, frente a mí, veo mis ojosThen standing before me I see myself with eyes
brillantes.alight!
Deteniéndome, me quedo mirando lo que no puede ser.Halting, I stand and stare at what cannot be.
¿Es este espejo que veo una realidad?Is this mirror I see a reality?

Escucho a un lobo aullar en la distancia en el aire de la ventisca,I hear a wolf howl in the distance on the blizzardy air,
y veo un bosque aparecer débilmente a través de la niebla.and see a forest faintly through the fog appear.
Numbly me dirijo hacia él sin vacilación.Numbly I make towards it without hesitation.
Nada me preocupa acerca de mi destino.Nothing concerns me about my destination.

Rompiendo la piel, mis costillas brotan.Breaking skin, my ribs burst forth.
Un dolor ardiente llena mi cuerpo.Searing pain fills my body.
A regañadientes, intento contener la bestia dentro de mí,Unwilling, I try to hold back the beast deep in me,
