In the colorful western sky,
いろづく西空に
irodzuku nishi sora ni
A single ray of sunlight breaks through.
差し込む一筋の陽
sashikomu hitosuji no hi
After the evening rain has passed,
夕立の雨上がりに
yuudachi no ame agari ni
I notice the scent of summer.
気づく夏の匂い
kidzuku natsu no nioi

The shimmering light shines bright,
ひしめく光が照らす
hishimeku hikari ga terasu
If I listen closely to my thoughts,
思いに耳をすませば
omoi ni mimi wo sumaseba
I can hear the echoes of friends.
聞こえし友の面影
kikoeshi tomo no omokage

The summer evening sky is fragrant,
夏夕空香り立つ
natsu yuuzora kaoritatsu
