A Tale of Thousand Tears

The father of dragons
rays of ruby light
in anger flashes of red lightning
scarlet and green flames
licked the earth
destroyed all in their path

its might was in the evil spirit that inhabited it
not in the strengths its body though they were huge
in fiery wrath it bursted out from angbands gates
to destroy a starled world
slain by a thorn longer and sharper than the axe of azaghal

by a black sword
by all the hate a man can carry
a blade of dark wrath devoured its guts
it felt the sting of death

and made a scream that shook the mountains and forests
but by the poison of black blood
and the venom of its last words
the slayer met his doom
