The Soundtrack To My Life

My life's at the tip of this pen, wish I could get a drop to fall,
And grace this page with wisdom and age that I haven't got at all
There's a note's in the back of my mind, if I listen really close,
Maybe I'll find the tone, to carry on this thought that I've composed

This is the sound
The sound of my heart, the sound of my mind,
This is the soundtrack to my life.

My lip's at the tip of this mic, my heart beats in my throat,
I dance in place as the faces await
The melody I wrote

So will this tune deserve the shame the critics blame on me
Or will it find a line, a way inside a soul that wants to sing
