Reconcile

My journey begins today,
Rebirth attain a new life,
Struggle, fight one more battle.
In the name of truth,
Injustice has reigned too long.
Darkness will quench the thirst of greed.

In the glare, the sun has disappeared.
Now the only shine is the dead's approval.

See the dead walk,
Crawl at their feet.
Eternal walk,
Till death be beat,
To be sick indeed,
A curse or a blessing?
The path you follow,
Your future is hollow.

Upon this earth,
We walk,
Fighting gravity every step of the way,
Faltering with terror and insanity,
In the darkest moment of mine.

I find myself beside my demon,
He wants to reconcile,
Shuddering and humble,
I call his name in fear,
Encompassing sufficiency,
Anger pouring rage into me
I whisper a scream, into his ear...
