Accept

This is my way of being a poet
A beggar, a thief and a judge
This is the way I become better
At self-pity, hiding in my shell
This is the way my life is tamed
My heart has peace and I come clean
This is the way I can explain
You evolve and I’m always the same

This is the way I become something
In everyone’s eyes and ears
This is the way I justify
The vague and empty passing of the years
This is the way I pass the test
I look straight down to all the rest
This is the way I keep on running
Instead of just giving up this craving

This is the way I can feel shame
This is the way I can blame zeus
This is the way I can breathe
This is the way I’ll accept, I accept
