The Abyss

The water of the sacred lake beside me
Eerily glowing in the dusk of my life
My agony understood not by the sun
Nor the moon
From the darkness I found my face

Shamans, my ancestors' bloodline
Have always come here to die
From beneath the waves they whisper to me
Of the secrets learned in death

With me I carry a stone
Hidden, forgotten and cursed
To the depths of woe
Like my forefathers before me

This world wasn't for them
To live, to breathe or to rule
They were drawn by a voice
Silent as darkness itself

That voice belongs to Satan
The silent master of my soul
In his footsteps I pass
In to the watery graves
