Runnning on Asphalt

Yesterday I saw the sun turn green
the clouds move up away, inbetween my mind
last year she seemed so far away
now I see her every day in my mind

I can't control what surroundings provoke my thought
I look around I've been trapped I am caught
in her trench I am stuck for days
I didn't know that I could feel this way

All in all when the summer turns to fall
We'll begin the ending of a year long stall
Give me time to buy resposibility

Among the crowd I feel so alone
in the miror I question what I have become
my speed increases running on asphalt
my destination remains unknown until the fall

she looks at me with the eyes from the summer
the image constant while the quality falters
clarity gets farther from me
understanding's much more than I can see
