In The Rain

I turn the music up a bit to compensate for the rain outside my car
I don't know where it is I'm headed, but I know it can't be far
The water falls like sparks in the black night pooling on the asphalt, I float away
The open road causes me to hallucinate, nostalgia breaks into my head
Fields of grain 10 foot trees outside my window I see
Signs of things that point to you, now I know it's you I'm driving to

Watch the rain hit the pane on the window
Ease my thoughts though I'll never really let go
Of the things that you said when you were cold from

Thoughts calm moving at a slower pace
Holding hands as the rain hits my face

From kissing in the rain

Watching white lines go by the rain soaks my face
driving with the cruelest of intentions just to escape this place
you say its different you say it's changed you say it will never be the same
you say youre trying and I believe you but when you say it crying it's hard to
Time is a memory brought up by vocal inconsistency
