It's a Big Bang explosionEs una explosión de Big Bang
That's a sand erosionQue es una erosión de arena
It's God being the stigmaEs el Dios siendo el estigma
Of his supreme creationDe su creación suprema

It's the light that always signsEs la luz que siempre firma
Like a sun that self-burnsCómo un sol que se auto quema
It's man being an enigmaEs el hombre siendo enigma
Of his own ecosystemDe su propio ecosistema

It's people's fear and source of pleasureEs el miedo de la gente y es su fuente de placer
Another day that doesn't feel like yesterdayOtro día que al siguiente no se siente como ayer
It's the girl who senses she's becoming a womanEs la chica que presiente que ha empezado a ser mujer
And it's the Western girl who has stopped growingY es la niña de occidente que ha dejado de crecer

It's the anchor without rivets of the paper boatEs el ancla sin remaches de la barca de papel
It's telling it to leave and writing 'stay'Es decirle que se marche y escribirle "quédate"
It's the water when it rains with its tap danceEs el agua cuando llueve con su baile de claqué

The Giza pyramid sliding handsLa pirámide de Guiza deslizándose las manos
It's the Great Wall of China and the Jordanian PetraEs la gran Muralla China y es la Petra de jordanos

They are the great wonders that precede the humanSon las grandes maravillas que preceden al humano
They are the blood, they are the splinter, they are the tyrant's chairSon las sangres, son la astilla, son la silla del tirano
It's his time and his blade, the cigarette butt on the landingEs su tiempo y su cuchilla la colilla en el rellano
An old man being young and Beethoven with a pianoUn anciano siendo joven y es Beethoven con piano

It's the seed emerging from the green new leavesEs la semilla surgida de las verdes hojas nuevas
Which in autumn are wounds and in summer are pathsQue en otoño son heridas y en verano son veredas
They are small goodbyes, they are the big ones that remainSon pequeñas despedidas, son las grandes que nos quedan

It's a decade, a year, it's a day, it's a minuteEs una década, un año, es un día, es un minuto
It's all the time I invested in knowing myself, bearing fruitEs todo el tiempo que invertí en conocerme, dando sus frutos
It's the smoke I tried to sell myselfEs el humo que intenté venderme
It's the great luxury of the rebel who works while everyone else sleepsEs el gran lujo del rebelde que trabaja mientras todo el mundo duerme

It's the Yin filling a sea of tears for othersEs el Yin llenando un mar de lágrimas por los demás
Being unable to take off the mask and not look backSer incapaz de quitarse el disfraz y no mirar atrás
It's the thirsty, dying Yang without breathEs el Yang, sediento, moribundo y sin aliento

It's the ego game, it's the creed of a blind manEs el juego del ego, es el credo de un ciego
It's the want and can't, it's the refuse and fearEs el quiero y no puedo, es el me niego y es el miedo
That book that always smells new when openedEse libro que al abrirlo siempre huele como nuevo
It's leaving it for later without knowing if there's a laterEs dejarlo para para luego sin saber si existe un luego

Believing in truth, filling empty consciencesCreer en la verdad, llenar conciencias vacías
Swearing loyalty and always keeping my promisesEs jurarme lealtad y siempre cumplir lo que prometo
Telling those craziness you'd never revealContar esas locuras que nunca revelarías
And even the purest soul has disgusting secretsY es que hasta el alma más pura tiene asquerosos secretos

It's the hunger for knowledge, the taste of never too lateEs el hambre del saber, el sabor del nunca es tarde
The nonconformist artist who does everything bigEl artista inconformista que lo hace todo a lo grande
It's bringing down the stars, stirring heaven and earthEs bajarte las estrellas, removerte cielo y tierra
It's being a sinner and throwing the first stoneEs ser un pecador y tirar la primera piedra

It's a love that has exceeded all my expectationsEs un amor que ha superado todas mis expectativas
A good friend who made me change perspectiveUn buen amigo que me hizo cambiar de perspectiva
With the soul undressed, breaking the schemesCon el alma desvestida, rompiendo los esquemas
That's what life is about, that's what this poem is aboutDe eso trata la vida, de eso trata este poema
