Evil Tempt Me Not

Though the tears at times may start
When temptations try your heart
Never stray from the Savior’s side
In the dark hours of the night
He will fill your heart with light

Tempt me not evil tempt me not
Let me live the way my Savior taught
Blessed are they who seek in prayer
Ever trusting in His care

When temptations dwell within
I will break the chains of sin
Living right trusting in His love
With clean heart I’ll follow Him
And someday He’ll let me in
When I knock at His door above
