Moonlight

I'm laying under the moonlight by my own this time
I'm fading under the same lights, I feel quite alright
I know that looking at night skies has made me go mad
A feeble whisper I hear now makes me improvise

This is who I am at times
As I'm dwelling on the same mistakes
Disillusioned and tired by proving everyone I've learned

And I won't save my life in time as I'm feeling this is my goodbye

I find myself stepping into a danger of which I'm quite aware
But nonetheless, I'm drawn to it
It's not that I expect to escape this soon, nor I pretend I'd see it through

Now I know when the night feels so long it's alright, it'll turn to dawn
And in time I will rest in the moonlight and write till' my pen has run dry

I might just try to let every moment slide by
I admit I lied, well it's hard to say out loud
