I'm gonna quit rambling gambling staying out late at night
I'm gonna go home where i belong i'm gonna act right
Today i got a letter from my wife and her lawyer friend

It said they knew everything i've been doing
And they know every place i've been
They even had a bunch of pictures of me on a dance hall floor
Then it went on to say if i didn't act right
They'd dig up a whole lot more

I turned the page right nervously and slowly took a peek
The money that they had me for i'd have to work a ten day week
