Sage Advice

So much for my fortune
I’ll gamble with all I’ve been given
I’ll have a new version of pride
When I see you again
See the king rising
All eyes are on spaces between us
And we’ll take back all of that doubt
And we’ll own this town
We’ll take back all of that doubt and bury it

And I'm not afraid to ask you
What would it be liiike not to have to choose
And I will internalize that sage advice
I will subscribe to that ancient sage advice

I’ve only continued
My dollars have all turned to tokens
At least I’ll be able to say I followed my dreams
At least I have people to sing with
You know I’ve been drinking
I’ll try to keep doin what I'm doing less recklessly
I’ll try to keep doing what I'm doin till you choose for me

And I'm not afraid to ask you
What would it be like not to have to choose
And I will internalize that sage advice
I will subscribe to that ancient sage advice
