Ayer que fui a la casa de Lupe y de Manuel,
cuando me abrió la Lupe me dijo: -No está aquél-;

Me fui hasta la cocina, mas pronto me salí,
olía muy mal la indina por trapos que hay ahí,
los platos cochambrosos, creo que del día anterior
y dicen que a la Lupe le pega su señor.
Por fin llegué a la pieza que sirve pa' dormir,

allá, en el burocito, un terno y un reloj,
