What would you take if you only had ten minutes
Knowing everything you left behind would surely wash away?
If you only had one suitcase, what would you pack in it?
Of all of your possessions, man, what would you save?
Would it be your money or jewelry or some picture on the wall?
If it really came down to it, what matters most of all?

What would you take in the middle of the night
If you felt the fire raging knowing you were out of time?
I know you'd run to your children, the ones who need your love
Praying: God just get us out of here, and we'll know we have enough
Each other, together, that's all we really need
Come whatever as long as we believe
