Once Adreamed

To throw a bridge across the river
Of unmindfulness
And disappear into the void
Never to return
Still, will not take its breath away
Falling back on dust
The unexplored retreat within

Closed, the door against every fear
At the threshold of nowhere near
The last attempted escape
Through the failures of yesteryear
Yet standing up to hard wear
Shiftings not able to take shape
A life once adreamed -
Now wakening in the clear

From what was said to be a shelter,
Deafening alarm
The weight of secrecy and silence
Burning mirrors end
Another storm cloud passing by,
Willingly adrift
It's a long lane that has no turning
