Where is the hand on the harpstring
¿Y el fuego rojo brillando?
And the red fire glowing?
¿Dónde está la primavera y la cosecha?
Where is the spring and the harvest
¿Y el maíz alto creciendo?
And the tall corn growing?

Han pasado como lluvia en la montaña
They have passed like rain on the mountain
Como un viento en el prado
Like a wind in the meadow
Los días han pasado en el oeste
The days have gone down in the west
