We are the light of this world, the Savior told usNós somos luz deste mundo, nos falou o Salvador
And we are the salt of this earth, by God, the CreatorE somos sal desta terra, por Deus, Criador
Before men, we must always shineAnte os homens, devemos sempre brilhar
And the good works, to the world, we can showE as boas obras, ao mundo, poderemos mostrar

Christ, the divine Master, always gives us His knowledgeCristo, o Mestre divino, nos dá sempre o Seu saber
Understanding, virtue, faith, and also powerEntendimento, virtude, fé, também poder
By the Holy Spirit He will guide usPelo Espírito Santo nos guiará
So His people, on earth, will always shine moreAssim o Seu povo, na terra, sempre mais brilhará

God revealed to the little ones the secrets from heavenDeus revelou aos pequenos os segredos lá do céu
The divine light, through Christ, He has already granted themA luz divina, por Cristo, já lhes concedeu
They are wise to serve God, the CreatorSão sábios para servir a Deus, Criador
They are light for the world of darkness and have great splendorSão luz para o mundo de trevas e têm grande esplendor
