Lying In Traffic

Another night spent overthinking.
When I was through I made a promise to myself.
I'll have to trust my word is good.
False notions make decisions.
And I made mine this time around.
For what it's worth, I tried.
Lay it all on the line.
Long conversations with myself don't seem to get me anywhere.
While highway miles pass me by and headlights pass for starlight.
These tired eyes need rest.
