I'm painting pictures of memories that are stuck in my mind
I sometimes wonder what life would be like without you by my side
I left so many things unsaid but these secrets, they had to be kept
I was never faithful to myself and that was hard to accept

A colourless canvas with a touch of blue
An empty pen to write a chordless tune
A bed of flowers that never seem to bloom

I find it easier to cover the smiles that I fake everyday
So if you hold my hand and tell me that our love will never fade away
I've been trying my best to work past the pain that I feel
No matter how I hard I try
I never seem to heal
