My sister and i descend
This darkening stair again
Find ourselves without breath
Twisting to the left

Beneath burning beaches,
Below rivers of tears
From the earth's darkest reaches
Come man's deepest fears
And this is where
New torments are prepared

We sing as a distant pair
But our song is stifled by the viscous air
We cling to precarious stairs and
Descend deep into nefarious lairs
