Y clamó con gran voz, diciendoAnd he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying
Babilonia la grande ha caído, ha caídoBabylon the great is fallen, is fallen
Y se ha convertido en morada de demonios, y refugio de todo espíritu inmundoAnd is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit
Y en jaula de toda ave inmunda y odiosaAnd a cage of every unclean and hateful bird

Porque todas las naciones han bebido del vino de la ira de su fornicaciónFor all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication
Y los reyes de la tierra han fornicado con ellaAnd the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her
Y los mercaderes de la tierra se han enriquecido por la abundancia de sus deliciasAnd the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies

Y oí otra voz del cielo, diciendo: Salid de ella, pueblo míoAnd I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people
Para que no seáis partícipes de sus pecados, y para que no recibáis de sus plagasThat ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues
Porque sus pecados han llegado hasta el cielo, y Dios ha recordado su iniquidadFor her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquitie

Por eso, sus plagas vendrán en un solo día, muerte, llanto y hambreTherefore shall her plagues come in one day, death, and mourning, and famine
Y será consumida por el fuego, porque fuerte es el Señor Dios que la juzgaAnd she shall be utterly burned with fire, for strong is the Lord God who judgeth her
Y los reyes de la tierra, que han fornicado y vivido lujosamente con ellaAnd the kings of the earth, who have committed fornication and lived deliciously with her
Llorarán por ella y lamentarán por ella, cuando vean el humo de su incendioShall bewail her, and lament for her, when they shall see the smoke of her burning

Estando lejos por el temor de su tormento, diciendoStanding afar off for the fear of her torment, saying
¡Ay, ay de aquella gran ciudad Babilonia, esa ciudad poderosa!Alas, alas that great city Babylon, that mighty city!
Porque en una hora ha llegado tu juicioFor in one hour is thy judgment come
