The Gate to Misery

Winds of sorrow crawling through my skin
On the plains of daylight-they bring the all dim
Writhing inside of me, I feel this pain
I held it within me, the key to this gate
I sit suffering, behold this key
No light of day could take this pain away
My walk through pain, hatred, and misery
The ending reign of all that once mattered to me
I now see change in the air
Anguish surrounds this hopeless stained door
Grief turns to pain as I unlock this gate
Thoughts in my head have been put to rest
If I choose to leave what would become of me?
All paths gone, I still live on...
Beyond this gate seal my fate
The blackened shroud, I have now found
The set is dim, my pain is grim
Rotting away, inside my brain
I roam until this day beyond that gate
Life lived alone, solitude is my home
