Buzzing the little alarm clock
Announces today's sun
And from very early
Waking up with the taste and perhaps
Even the vague touch of your caress under the sheets
It's barely cold and humidity is felt outside
Which gives you a reason
To stay in bed for a day
Or the duty that ends in hunger
You should go have lunch
You're not convinced and you give in
'How lazy', you'll say
'To have to work'

You come up with something to not go
Because today you can't go, no
(You yawn)
You'll say that today
You're not very healthy and well, so to speak
You feel the flu or some equally bad illness
A bit of fever
Are you sure you don't have?... no
Maybe your head hurts
And you faint when you try to get up
Mom hears you and says: 'Rest in peace today my daughter
You're not going to work'

But none of this happens, in fact
The routine frustrates you
'How lazy', you'll say
After all, it won't be so important
To buy a few new clothes
And who cares about opening
The account and the gift for dad
Less the car and the trip
You stop to reconsider
And from new clothes
You start over

'Maybe I'm not so close to death', you'll say
It's still very early
And for once
You measure time
And not even six minutes have passed
Other times you've found yourself in more trouble
And taking a shower never takes you more than five
You stretch and get up
With a jump from the bed
