elevators take me to the clouds
celestial journey into nothingness
oh bleeding blue, in crimson shrouds
i finally should sleep, i guess

circling evermore round the place
where once the lights have been subdued
in sacred dreams following your trace
tonight all roads lead up to you

that i can sleep forevermore
and return home with broken wings

elevators fly, hilarious mood
my fantasy's a marvellous realm
under these lanterns once we stood
celebrated views that overwhelm

they fascinate and terrify
these roads that gleam in nightly hue
under starlit skies the spirits fly
