Searching For Oblivion

Morning after morning the scenario is played out!
A glance outside my window is enough to make me doubt!
Crawl back to the confines of my twenty-two ounce tom!
Another bottle empty, another dollar spent!
Leaving me to sit and wonder just where the fuck it went!

Running from my nightamares, escaping my despair!
Plunge my self into oblivion but when I wakeup it's still there!
My never end flight from the horror of my mind!
Toughtfullness the curse of the most insidious kind!
Drowing in a foamy wash a high percentage sea!
Reality just reminds me of how things we never be!

Searching for oblivion that's just what I found!
A new sorrow ressurects itself for everyone that's downed!
Living in a world that's filled with ghost's of fear!
The murder of my memory along with everything held dear!
