Self Inflicted

I've forgotten the day had passed away
As i blanket my windows from the day
Slouched deep in the darkness while i play
Everything is okay

I create all the acts for the world to see
Living life to agree to disagree
So i've drifted away
But have settled to stay

Every time i breathe, i'm struggling
Drowning in every air i take
I tumble in my sleep from shaking
Regretting all my self-inflicted aches
I'm just waiting for time
For this high to decline
While i sweat and i shake
I'll be clean when i wake
So i breathe, i'm shaking
Drowning in my self-inflicted ways

The nightmares continue in my sleep
Hypnagogic hallucinations creep
Underneath all the shadows
Make everything okay

I'm supposed
To feel whole
I should be
In control

I'm just waiting for time
For this high to decline
