If I die before I wake
I hope my soul will find you
Cause in this life I've seen
No evidence of god that feels true
All our lives we place our faith
At the altar of youth
Only to have it chipped away
By the chisel of truth and age

No more answers in your scripture
In your makeshift messiah
Your restrictions make no sense to me

So I say:
Without faith
Sanity drives me insane
Injustice,
The fall of angels never ends
So I remain...

Another day of vice and sin
On the cross I'm nailed to
The gate of heaven won't be wide enough
For me to crawl through
Why pray?
