Puis on a croisé une dame qui ramassait des baies au bord de la routeThen we came upon a lady pickin' berries by the roadside

Puis il a dit, je m'appelle Dan, madame, et je suis un homme à la pastèque, madameThen he said my name is Dan ma'm and I'm a Watermelon man ma'm
J'ai des melons à vendre, ça vous dirait d'en prendre quelques-uns ?Got melons to sell and would you care for a few

On est arrivés à Springfield avec Pa chantant et criantWe rolled into Springfield with Pa singin' and a yellin'
