Today I Feel So Weak

Today I find myself so weak
The battle came to knock me down
Once again, I'm in this prison
No strength to fight, I'm losing ground
Oh, if only my dear Lord
Would grant the longing of my soul

But I understand, O God above
There’s a time to smile, a time to weep
And the season I'm living through
Might just be the one to grieve
If I must stay apart from You
And miss the warmth of Your embrace
I’ll wait until the day You come
To lead me out of this dark place

And if I learn to wait with patience
Like Job, enduring in his pain
I know that I will still have hope
Though all I hold feels small and plain

From ashes, I will rise again
Into the new that I’ve longed for
And there, with joy, I’ll lift my voice
To sing Your praise forevermore
